		Broadband Properties magazine's Top 100 Vendors for 2008 highlight the best-of-the-best in the fiber market, with a special focus on delivering the most innovative IT products and services to telecom service providers and municipalities. Broadband Properties' Top 100 recognizes MetaSwitch's contributions to advancement and excellent in the world of communications. More than 600 entries were reviewed and judged by a panel of Broadband Properties editors and staff, while extensive research was done on each company.
		MetaSwitch received the Broadband Gear Report 2008 Diamond Award for its MetaView software, which was noted for its innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability and technological capabilities.
		MetaSwitch received the 2008 VON Innovator Award for its historic achievements in leading the Internet communications industry in migrating legacy telephone switches to packet architectures, and for its MetaSphere application suite.
		The 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for Global Softswitch Product Line Strategy is awarded to MetaSwitch for demonstrating the most insight into the needs and product demands of its customers. 		MetaSwitch received the Internet Telephony Product of the Year award for 2000 and 2001 in the Next Generation Class 5 Switch category for the VP3500's predecessor, the VP3000. "The awards, selected by the editors of Internet Telephony® Magazine and the engineers of TMC Labs, are designed to honor those companies, such as MetaSwitch for their VP3000, as they continue to forge ahead with the development of the next generation of global telecommunications." - Rich Tehrani, President of TMC and Group Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony®.
		National Technical Systems (NTS) has independently certified that the MetaSwitch VP3500 meets the Network Equipment Building Standards (NEBS) Level 3. To achieve certification, the VP3500 had to undergo a range of stringent examinations, including electro-magnetic emissions, power consumption, Zone-4 earthquake simulation and thermal and mechanical shock. At the same time as certifying the MetaSwitch platform for NEBS, NTS also confirmed compliance with a variety of additional emissions and safety standards, including UL-1950 Third Edition and FCC Part 15 Class A and equivalent Canadian, European, and International standards.
		Verisign (formerly Illuminet), operator of the largest independent SS7 network in North America, has certified the MetaSwitch VP3500 for connection to its network. To ensure interoperability, VeriSign successfully completed SS7 link control and network (level 2 and 3) testing of the MetaSwitch VP3500 in a live carrier network. The set of tests used is based on the industry accepted test suites recommended by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and the Network Interoperability / Interconnection Forum (NIIF). In addition to the above certifications, MetaSwitch has been approved for connection to the networks of many major carriers, including SBC, Verizon, BT and BellSouth. Our implementation of lawful interception (CALEA) has also completed a review by the FBI.
