Bellows Falls, VT: April 2, 2008. Sovernet Communications today announced
it has selected MetaSwitch as its primary telephone switch vendor, furthering its commitment
to offering advanced and reliable telephone service to the residents and businesses of
Northern New England. Sovernet has deployed a MetaSwitch VP3510 integrated softswitch
in its fully redundant Burlington, VT data center.

network infrastructure to better serve our customers. This partnership with MetaSwitch
will create new products and features for our client base while also enhancing reliability

The new investment creates a multitude of additional features and benefits
for Sovernet's customers, including dynamic bandwidth allocation, unified messaging, fax server,
auto attendant, conference calling and hosted business voice over IP services.
The new switch will initially serve customers in Vermont and New Hampshire with additional expansion
planned beyond Sovernet's existing markets.
